From 21 to 27 September, it’s International Week of Happiness at Work, but how’ve you been feeling about work through 2020? While businesses are trying to look after their employees and keep work life as stress-free as possible, this year has hit the world hard. What a difference a year makes, huh?
Whether you’ve been keeping your business afloat, working from home (and prepping to do it all again), furloughed or unfortunately made redundant, our mental health has somehow taken a knock – no matter how much our employers have tried to help us. And according to Alphagreen, one of the leading sellers of CBD and healthcare products, the uptake of stress, anxiety and worry of 2020 has resulted in an uptake in CBD sales.
The true effects of CBD are still being looked into, but with experts believing it could support how our brain’s chemical receptors react to the serotonin in our body, it’s only natural we’re seeing more positive mental health stories from CBD-takers.
Alphagreen said that ‘Since the start of the year, nearly eight million adults in the UK, or 15% of the population, have purchased CBD products, exceeding £150 million.’
With that in mind, we hope those finding the world of work hard to cope with can feel the benefits and support of CBD on their mental health. I think we need it after this year, don’t you?
