Let’s talk about sex. Or more specifically, sex and CBD.
From lotions to lubricants, there’s now a number of CBD products on the market aiming to help improve people’s sex lives. But how could CBD improve it?
It all comes down to the endocannabinoid system (ECS). It’s one of the largest communication networks in our bodies that helps maintain balance – processing things like pain, pleasure and mood. Although research is still ongoing into how CBD interacts with the ECS, studies have shown it could have an impact on receptor activity. This could suggest CBD might help with people’s sex lives by reducing pain, increasing pleasure, and easing stress and anxiety, including performance anxiety.
While there’s been many studies showing both pros and cons to how CBD can affect people’s sex lives, according to Healthline, it helped Heather Huff-Bogart. Heather had her IUD removed, which left her curled over in pain with cramps, so she decided to try a personal lubricant infused with CBD to help. She said “It helped reduce the pain and inflammation I have during intercourse. My husband noticed that I don’t complain as much about pain, and it’s been beneficial for both of us.”

If you’re wanting to try out CBD in the bedroom, everyone is different, so make sure you do your research or speak to your doctor to find the right solution for you and your sexual partner. If you’re trying to get pregnant, always speak to your doctor before using CBD products. If you’re pregnant, you should not be using CBD products.
